What is Heartwright

Heartwright — a new leadership practice built on the five HEART pillars: Humanity, Environment, Alignment, Resilience, and Trust — helps leaders design organizations where people can perform at high levels without burning out.

The word is intentional. In older English, a wright is a maker — someone who builds with skill and purpose. A playwright writes plays. A shipwright builds ships. A wheelwright crafts wheels. A Heartwright builds something equally consequential: the leadership systems inside which people actually do their best work. The craft is not performance; it is design. The material is not charisma or force of personality, but the actual conditions that determine whether people thrive or burn out in the work we ask them to do.

At the center of the Heartwright practice are five pillars I call HEART — Humanity, Environment, Alignment, Resilience, and Trust. These are not values to talk about. They are the design criteria every Heartwright learns to build against.

Heartwright challenges the idea that leadership is about endurance and authority. Instead, it offers a structure for building organizations that are sustainable by design and grounded in Humanity, Environment, Alignment, Resilience, and Trust.
